Tournament Host Information

Welcome to The Players Choice!

As a volunteer and representative of TPC you will be expected to conduct yourself as an ambassador to the players and as a Team Member.  

TPC Games will not offer individual tournament clubs. All Tourney Hosts work together as a team to keep uniformity throughout the game site.

Your conduct as a Tournament Host sets the example for the players and your teammates.

Tournament hosts are referred to as Runners. Assistant Tourney hosts are referred to as Gunners.  
As a Runner, you are responsible to track all sign ups, assignments, results, and file the end of tourney report, (EOT) immediately after the tourney is completed.

As a Gunner, you are responsible for keeping the lobby chat moving so players don’t lose interest between rounds, helping the runner with scores, making sure tables are set properly and overall assisting the runner.

All tourney hosts must have a working knowledge of the games you are hosting tournaments in.  TPC will be providing a variety of games including: Backgammon, Canasta, Cribbage, Gin, Hearts, Pinochle and Spades, with more games to come.

As a Tourney host you will be expected to conduct yourself professionally at all times and respect the players and your teammates.

You must be able to multi-task since you will be tracking game reports, posting results, announcing tables and answering questions from players. You will also need to know how to settle disputes before they escalate.
